Barto migrated to Australia at the end of 2010, having practised as a member of the Pretoria Bar for almost twenty years. He is admitted in NSW and Queensland, and settled in Brisbane with his family. After a stint with the Department of the Environment and Resource Management, he obtained his practising certificate and joined the Queensland Bar.
He practices from Clashfern Chambers in the Brisbane CBD but is
available for advice and appearances anywhere in Queensland.
His fees are reasonable, and in appropriate matters he is willing to work on a “no win no fee” basis. For barrister's work, he does not see clients directly but accepts briefs from solicitors.
Barto is a member of FLPA (the Family Law Practitioners' Association), QPILCH and Legal Aid Queensland.
